Jointly offered by LMU Munich and an international consortium of partner institutions – including Aarhus University, the University of Amsterdam, City University of London, Charles University in Prague, , and other prestigious universities worldwide – the programme offers an unparalleled opportunity to study journalism and media in a truly global context.

Study in Aarhus and Munich

Co-funded by the EU’s Erasmus+ Programme, the Master combines academic excellence with cross-cultural exchange, preparing graduates for careers in international journalism, media management, communication, and research. Students spend their first year at Aarhus University in Denmark, where they complete core courses in global media studies, journalism theory, and advanced research methods. In the second year, they transfer to LMU Munich to specialise further, benefit from the university’s strong academic and professional networks, and immerse themselves in one of Europe’s most vibrant media landscapes.
